Hello everyone, appreciate you reading the article and joining me on this journey as I work towards getting my YouTube channel monetized (1,000 subs; 4,000 watch hours).

Bit of back story: Crypto enthusiast and failed trader. Fell into the world of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency summer 2017. The ride has been very emotional (so that let’s you know why I am a failed trader) but exciting nonetheless. Seeing Bitcoin touch 1,900 for the last time to run up to about 20,000 was amazing.

But to not capitalize has me sick.

I’ve seen exchanges come and go for the US, with some shutting down and others changing it’s regulations to where if you didn’t have a VPN you were out of luck. Trading on Bitmex was an experience in itself, seeing dominant traders in the chat such as “The Boot” talk his shit and take numbers was inspiring.

Joining “Whalepool” and “Trading Dojo” on Telegram where you see the trolls come and go. Bears (Sell) and Bulls (Buy) asserting dominance during their epic market runs. Watching as you inadvertently attach yourself to these characters and begin to shift your beliefs to any and every user who can capture your inner Pig (greed) and Sheep (gullibility) with their captivating hopium. Those times were electric to say the less. All the main people in those chat rooms are more than likely rich by now if they didn’t allow their emotions get the best of them like myself.

Not all bad. I do believe you learn the most in your moments of defeat. The market is the house and any resistance to it is the beginning of your demise.

Aside from trading, mining had it’s time for CPU. I think I caught the last moments of it actually being profitable. Was mining coins such as Zoin, Electonium, XMR, etc. There are all kinds of mining pools so diving into that was fun to learn. The quick miner was called Minergate (I’m sure with this name you see why I stopped) but you see the hash rate, learning what your average should be based on the CPU power, and more importantly learning how they are getting their cut and how you get yours.

Long story short dabbled in miners too and the process of joining mining pools and doing it through the command prompt, more profitable if you do this way. May do a tutorial on it in the future.

Fast forward and we’re back. The big question is why now? I’ve been holding myself back for as long as I can remember to where it has become second nature to me. No more will I allow myself to vacillate and pine over the opportunities and time lost. It is only now. I will use Medium to keep track of my journey and use it as a written commentary for my tutorial videos. That way I can flesh out the thoughts a little better.

About my YouTube: TimGroveStreet is THEE channel. Tim Grover is THEE guy. Grove Street by Waka Flocka is THEE song. Deciding on the niche of crypto, audiobooks and gaming (Emerald Gamers 90s) so if my page confuses you at times that is the reason. I want to spread the knowledge that I possess to others while expanding on that knowledge through others.

A nice two-way street.

Battling between quantity and quality.
